FAQ
Who can participate in Championships?
The World Sudoku Championship and the World Puzzle Championship are organized on behalf of the World Puzzle Federation (WPF). Teams consisting of 4 players are selected by national puzzle organisations which are officially registered within WPF and only representatives of those organisations can register participants.
Exemption is made for players from countries without official representation in WPF but they need to be a personal member of WPF.
If you have the citizenship of a country which is an official WPF member, you would have to get in contact with the board of the national puzzle associationto find out about the national championships and if you can qualify for the world championships.
If you can’t find your country on the list of official members you would have to get in contact with the WPF to find out if you can become a personal member.
Visa requirements
The question, if you need a visa, depends on where you come from. Within the European Union you don’t need a visa. List of countries which citizens must have valid visas before arrival is presented at Ministry of Forreign Affairs webpage:

If you come from a country outside the European Union and need an invitation letter, please get in touch with us, we will help prepare it.
COVID restrictions and requirements
At the moment there's no mandatory testing in Poland. And you don't have to provide any proof of vaccination upon entering.
If this changes in the future we'll be informing everyone.
Can the WSPC organizer provide the opportunity of the PCR test to meet regulations in some countries?
Yes,we can organize it, but under additional charge.
Are there any rules/guidelines of the situation where players cannot take part in the competition just before/during the championships?
There are no such rules. In Poland there is no restrictions at the moment so we cannot force anyone to isolate. We can only advice people to use common sense.
There’s no policy on exchanging A team members with other participants at the moment.
What is the deadline to register a team for WSC/WPC?
The first deadline is June 15th. Ateam members registeredbefore this date will receive 10% bonus.
Registering also means paying the registration fee.
What to do if the members are not known before June 15th but there will be a team formed for the WSC/WPC at a later date?
We don’t need personal information at the moment, just a total number of participants. If it is still unknown if a person will be participating in both events (WSC and WPC) or if there will be two people one per each event then you can register like it’s one person (it is a cheaper option) and then, if there’s a need, pay the additional cost later after the team roster is determined.
How should I pay for the event?
Everyone will be informed on the payment by email.
